Every community in America has processes in place and the power to grant or withhold permission for businesses to operate in their town. In our experience, communities very capably conduct rigorous analysis of any project we propose. Towns can and do hold public hearings and can impose an extensive due diligence process to protect the interests of their citizens.
We have a responsibility to openly communicate with local communities and must abide by all regulatory requirements, rules, laws and policies that affect how we withdraw water and operate a bottling facility.
The communities in which we are located receive important local economic benefits. The contributions of Nestlé Waters’ employees make us active community members and an environmentally responsible company as a neighbor.
