Dear Editor,

Re: Drink water, but don't be a drip (August 20, 2007)

Lyle Harris hits the nail on the head when he points out that finding a way to improve recycling programs is “a better approach” than “merely singling out the bottled water industry” (August 20, 2007, Drink water, but don't be a drip).

When it comes to most municipal recycling problems, we’re applying 1970s solutions to 2007 problems.

Nestlé Waters advocates for progressive recycling programs that would recycle all plastic food and beverage containers, regardless of whether they contain ketchup, peanut butter or water.  Our company is stepping up to be part of this 21st century recycling solution.

Sincerely,

Jane Lazgin
